Icon Painting Workshop: a way of creating icons
The process of creating icons rather long and laborious, requiring a high concentration of the icon painter, and takes about three months. He asks his primitive, unlike many other forms of art, which will eventually change their technique. For many centuries, the technique of iconography is unchanged and on has its own special flavor. Here are a few steps of creating icons that photographer Igor Alekseev was able to see in the icon workshop of Catherine Elias.
