Hexapod robot that can transform into a Bun

Norwegian Kare Halforsen (Kåre Halvorsen) presented his new invention, a robot named MorpHex MKII. It can draw in its "legs" and turn into a moving ball.




A first embodiment of the robot can move in the form of a ball in a circle. And that is able to move in straight. Perhaps this is the first hexapod robot that can controllably roll downhill.



The robot consists of several sections, each of which is equipped with two servos. They allow the device to roll, remove and stand up.
