As Medvedev took in Norway

Russian President Norwegians took today on the highest level. While at the airport Gardemuen met Crown Prince Haakon Medvedyevs, lined up in front of the Royal Palace Orchestra and the guard of honor of the Royal Guards. All took place in the Akershus Fortress, where in one of the halls of the museum opened an exhibition about the concentration camps for Russian prisoners of war in occupied Norway.

It was clear that the veterans who came to the museum, excited and surprised by such attention. Santa put awards came long before. Everyone is already well under ninety years, and for many it was difficult even to rise from a chair without the help of comrades during the ceremony. Today came the five people who participated, together with the Soviet troops in the Petsamo-Kirkenes Offensive in 1944, when liberated Northern Norway, two members of the famous Norwegian organization of armed resistance to the Nazi occupation "Milorg" and other veterans, including one of our - a former machine gunner in the 1st Belorussian Front.

The award ceremony was organized very seriously, solemnly.



The announcer called the name of the award, Medvedev approached him, handed the box with the award, shook hands, said something briefly. I must say, behaved impeccably and did everything, it seemed to me, very sincerely, not on the machine.



One of the veterans of operations in Northern Norway, Medvedev said a phrase in Russian, I do not understand.



Then carried glasses of champagne, everyone stood up, began to wish each other health. Medvedev told veterans «Skål» Norwegian, they answered him, "To your health!". Everything turned out mentally, with meaning. I was very happy for the elderly. And our fellows that everything is invented and organized.
