The passage du Gua (Passage du Gois) — a road that runs along the bottom of the Gulf of Burnie and connect mainland France to the island of Noirmoutier. This road is considered one of the most dangerous. Twice a day at high tide of 4.5-km road is submerged under 4-meters of the water column. At the beginning and at the end of a special counter that shows the remaining time before the tide comes in, and the sides of the tower, built for emergency situations.
