The winners of the architectural "Nobel Prize"

March 29 Executive Director of the Pritzker Prize - Martha Thorne (Marta Torn) named the winners of this year.





The bronze medal and prize of $ 100,000 was the Japanese architects Kazuyo Sedzhima (Kazuo Sejima) and Ryue Nishizawa (Ryue Nishizawa). Laureates are both colleagues and co-owners of the architectural bureau SANAA, which has existed for more than fifteen years.



This prize is awarded to the person who has made the most significant contribution to the development of modern architecture. First Pritzker Prize was awarded in 1979. The award ceremony will be held on May 17 this year in New York.
