Kuma - mystical ruins of the past

Not far from the Italian Naples are ruins of a prosperous city, under the name Kum. The city was founded by the Greeks in the eighth century BC and destroyed in less than 200 years, the Saracens.

The excavations on the territory of the former great city began about a century ago. During this time, archaeologists managed to restore the location of key facilities of the fortress. In particular, the Temple of Zeus. However, only restored its foundation.

Geographically, Kuma is located 35 kilometers from Naples, so tourists purchasing tours to Italy, without fail try to get to Kuma. But not for the same fortress or temple of Zeus.

The fact is that in addition to the statues and the cremation burials, archaeologists managed to partially restore several tunnels. About one of them was discovered a cave, which was a kind of prophetess keley Kuma Sibyl.

According to legend, the Sibyl tried to sell the then ruler of the Roman Empire to the prophecies of the book, which were listed all the reasons for the fall of the empire and other events. However, Tarquin the Proud too late agreed to buy the book and most of them Sibyl burned.
