Skoda will present its own SUV in 2009

Skoda Company denied the rumors that the new SUV of the Czech company will debut in July at the Paris Motor Show: "This is nonsense. He also said that the launch of the SUV is scheduled for next year, but did not specify a specific time.

Most likely, the car will be called Yeti, we had both the name of the concept presented by the Czech automaker earlier. "I think we'll leave that name," said the March journal Automotive News Europe Skoda CEO Reinhard Jung (Reinhard Jung).

The SUV will be produced at the plant of Skoda in Kvasiny, along with the Superb sedan and minivan Roomster. Two assembly lines running at this factory, capable of producing up to 200,000 new cars.

The main platform for the implementation of the SUV Yeti will be Central Europe, where Skoda plans to sell the new product in an amount of about 50 000 units per year.
