Chinese power grid cannot withstand the load of the growth in capacity of renewable energy

The rapid growth of alternative energy in China suddenly turned into challenges: the poor condition of the grid can not withstand such loads.

Because of this, the Chinese authorities have been forced to reduce previously planned volume of production of clean energy.

In an attempt to find a way out of this serious environmental situation, China has directed its efforts to development of "green" energy: solar power plants (SPP) and wind turbines. Today China holds the first position in the list of countries which are actively developing clean energy.

The government has allocated about $102 billion for the establishment of a network of wind power over the next 4 years. Today the Chinese factories produce 2 wind turbine every hour. It is planned to construct thermal, solar and the creation of the world's largest "solar farm" of 6 million solar cells. It will produce about 2 GW of energy.

But such active development suddenly got the opposite effect: within 2 years of the loss of electricity increased by 19%. The reason for this was the unavailability of networks to the overall growing energonaladka. Thus, from 1/5 to ½ of all energy not being used and spent to no avail.

Now the government change approved in the 13th five-year plan objectives: 4 years SES will generate 110 GW 150 GW, and wind turbines — GW 210 instead of 250 GW.

In order not to overload the power grid, for several years also increased the volume of electricity from coal-fired power plants, which are known to cause air pollution. published
