"Hasten slowly". Bridge Festina Lente bridge in Sarajevo



Festina Lente bridge is a unique bridge in Sarajevo (Bosnia), which was developed by a creative group of Bosnian architecture students Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. The facility is a 38-metre "loops", located on the river and its conceptual name translated from Latin means "hurry up slowly".



The authors of the project — Adnan Alagic, Bojan Kanlic and Amila Hrustic – complicated traditional rectilinear design of the bridge, wrapping it in a "loop", which placed comfortable benches for pedestrians.



According to the architects, the bridge is a symbolic gate on the way to the building of the former temple, and now the Academy of fine Arts (Academy of Fine Arts), in which they were trained.
