Kuratas Battle Mech: giant fighting robot transformer

In 2010, the talented engineers Yoshizaki Wataru (Wataru Yoshizaki) and the cohort Kurata (Kurata Kogoro) founded the company Suidobashi with a single purpose – create a functional combat mecha. And in 2012, the world was presented the first prototype of a military robot KR01 ver.1.0.1 with a terrible name Kuratus that you can control with your smartphone, as well as gestures and facial expressions of the pilot.

Kuratas Battle Mech is 4.5 tons of metal, more than thirty of hydraulic connections, a powerful diesel engine and dozens of weapons. First designed the robot could move at a speed only 10 km / h, the updated version is higher than four times.

The height of Curates is almost 4.5 meters, so in order to climb into the cockpit, the pilot is required a ladder. However, not to climb so high the developers have provided a remote control "from the earth" by any smartphone supporting 3G.

Manual control of the robot Kuratas is a "Master-Slave". Inside the cabin mounted manipulators, the movement of which repeats a combat mech, like a huge puppet. In addition the system is installed that can recognize facial expressions and gestures of the pilot. The cost Kuratas Battle Mech exceeds one million euros, and currently sold only one copy. The Ministry of defense of Japan is not interested in the project, so the representatives of the company Suidobashi there is hope for the oligarchs-geeks who want to buy such an expensive toy.
