The most obese country

As reported by the world health organization (who) in China, India, South Africa, Brazil and Mexico, together with GDP growth progresses the sharp rise in obesity.
Countries that were struggling to feed its people, now has to contend with the opposite threat. Over the past decade in developing countries, the obesity rate grew much faster than per capita income.



Each 7th adult Mexican suffering from obesity, Mexico is ahead for these indicators only the United States.
In USA 68% overweight, 40% of US children are overweight and 50% of them suffer from obesity.
In Europe the leader is Germany, each year the costs for the treatment of diseases of obesity and its associated consequences constitute close to 22.8 billion euros.
In China, about 100 million people suffer from excessive weight, while in 2004 this figure was only 18 million.



In Brazil, the fastest growth in obesity can be noticed among children. To date, about 16% of Brazilian boys and 12% of girls aged 5 to 9 years are overweight; 20 years ago there were 4 times less.
In Ukraine the excess weight is exactly half of the total population.
Japan and South Korea have a very low obesity rate of 3% and 4%.
