Air pollution is recognized as the most harmful factor for health



In 2012, more than 7 million people on Earth died because of air pollution in cities and inside buildings. It's every eighth death. The mortality from this factor has doubled over the past year, reports Nature.

The main contribution to global pollution do developing countries of South-East Asia and Pacific region, including China, the Philippines and Vietnam. About 3.3 million deaths in these countries was triggered by a homemade smoky air. This primarily women, the elderly and young children that remain at home in the absence of cleaning equipment. 2.6 million people died from outdoor pollution.



Inside the house contamination in the Asian region provoke coal and wood burning stove. Substances that they release in combustion of fuel, leading to disease respiratory, heart and skin, especially in children and the elderly. The world health organization is going to publish detailed information on air pollution in major cities of the world. The list will include approximately 1,600 cities.
