I think the water doesn't burn? You are wrong...

Experts already on Board the International Space Station are conducting studies that prove exactly the opposite effect of water. During the experiments, they try to make the number of conditions under which water will move in a very special supercritical state (between gas, liquid and solid) that can be achieved when it is heated to a temperature of 373 degrees with simultaneous compression of 217 atmospheres.

This method received water only for a few seconds can burn any object or organic substance with which it will come into contact and without open flames. Space station is the perfect laboratory to conduct such experiments because of the presence in space of the unique microgravity environment, which enables experts to better control the entire process, keeping the rigid connection of the combustion products from tanks, pipes and other objects.

These experiments are performed by scientists with the aim of finding the best methods of waste disposal that can be used in earth orbit, where the problem is quite acute, and on the ground. Incineration of waste with supercritical water is allocated to ordinary carbon dioxide, which easily can be filtered and harmful substances contained in the liquid wastes are completely destroyed, remains only a small amount of solid remains secure.
