New look for laser hair removal

The laser has evolved into an effective and reliable method of removing unwanted hair. The usual method in most cases involves the shaving of the hair just before the procedure. With this technique a significant portion of hair remains in the hair channels, therefore, a much larger portion of laser energy is absorbed by the melanin contained in the epidermal cells, and destroys them. During the AMWC Eastern Europe 2014 Dr. Wali Abbaspur gave a lecture on how to optimize the performance of the laser and make the result more effective.

Wali Abbaspur
doctor of medical Sciences, surgeon
In 1989 he graduated from Tehran University with a degree in General therapy.
In 1993 he became a surgeon, his specialization and practical experience, blepharoplasty and abdominoplasty.
Member of Iranian society of surgeons.
In the proposed Dr Abbaspour technique, which is poorly tested and is not tested for several days before laser hair removal hair is not shaved, but instead is removed with the root. Given the anatomical location of the hair, it can grow in 2-3 days. Thus, the activity of the follicle and melanocytes increases, at the same time, the hair transferred to the anagen phase. At this point, the hair does not have time to grow enough to reach the outer layer of the skin, the volume of trunks hair, and the amount of molecules of melanin decreases.

This stage can be achieved in three ways:
  • direct irradiation with laser (this method is most often practiced, efficient and simple to implement);
  • laser irradiation of the bulb through the center of a narrow needle, which is guided in the channel of hair;
  • backward radiation into the channel the hair shaft under the skin in the direction of the epidermis and hair roots with special instruments.
Reducing power laser irradiation on epidermis and the unique effectiveness of the destruction of hair are the advantage of these methods, especially the second and third.
