Where the boundary of personal freedom

Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) pointed out the inextricable link of freedom and the rule of law. He argued that man is free if he needs obey no other person, and the law, binding on all.

To live on last money on the principle of "tumbleweed" and work in an office with intense schedule, two extremes, equally distant from true freedom. About how to adjust their behavior so as not to regret every wasted minute.

When I reason talked to people, some of them liked to emphasize their high values and other intangible benefits unavailable miserable slaves of the system. In contrast with me their lives, obviously, seemed to be much more diverse and attractive. In the discussion I wasn't involved — first, because it's pointless, secondly, because in some ways each of them, in truth, was not so wrong.

"I have something that is not you. Freedom." — I would say one of my strange friend, anywhere not working and living on the principle of "tumbleweed". He was echoed by incessant chorus of nodding buddies with their "original" suggestions to drop everything and go anywhere — certainly right now during the week, just because the weather is good, and life is mediocre. The proposals were accompanied by ostentatious sympathy for me — virtually a prisoner in prison, bound hand and foot the damn work.

In my humble opinion, freedom is good free 18. And that is limited, not lasting forever in get-togethers of young and creative, whose eyes five years finally ostekleniju from the drunk tank of ethanol and smoked tons of hash. After 25 such "freedom" looks more like a series of missed opportunities, apathy and inertia. 30 she ceases to be perceived adequately and causes anything other than understanding.

The traveller who escaped from the rat race and hitchhiked around the world with a backpack. Esoteric, who chose, instead of sitting in the office for months to meditate in the mountains. Rescuers-volunteers, participants search operations that spend huge share personal resources on what you do for others. Here in whose life there is freedom from the material, the freedom to do something fundamentally different. Bragging how much value the work and everyone there is ready to send, absenteeism and tardiness "in spite of the enemy", imitation flurry of activity, leaving the booze out of the blue is disorganization, lack of respect for himself, a complete lack of motivation — the list goes on until morning. Anything, just not that same freedom.

Something deeply meaningful and it does not have the background material I found. Therefore, I'm not trying to free up as much time as possible by the "work as a fireman after three days" — I just no place in such quantity consumed. But I am quite consciously and deliberately chose the other extreme. And, to my great regret, lost the ability to manage your time, build long-term plans and generally control your life.

Any courses to enroll, freed finally from a selection from a limited list, where once a week — only on weekends. To the doctor when needed, not when the stars line up so that appearing in the town will be buried under a pile of accumulated papers of term documents. To buy tickets for Metallica in August — and leave the list of reasons not to go just the end of the world and alien invasion, forever excluding the possibility of a surprise audit in Saransk or closure of the project in Karaganda. Room visit according to schedule, but not as necessary.

At the thought of how much goes past me degryse anguish and stifled a feeling of hopelessness. I'm sorry to tears each minute spent on the road or spent on charges. But, alas, I can't do anything else that would cost as much if not much, then at least acceptable to me for money. And can't afford to re-do the way from entry-level to more or less decent specialist. Although perhaps this is another misconception.

I want to get some ray of light, which illuminates at least the first stones on the path in unknown territory. This is probably the only thing I really want — except, of course, the main. published
