Imagine this situation: a cold Winter evening. You wait for the bus for ages, and suddenly out of nowhere over the stop hangs flying saucer. You and nine other frozen passengers are abducted by aliens – the representatives of the super advanced civilization.





Once on the ship, You and Your fellow sufferers will know that aliens is not going to contact you or to learn You, they want you to just eat. However, there is one problem – according to the laws of their civilization is strictly forbidden to eat highly intelligent creatures. In this place you hear a great collective sigh of relief. But too early to rejoice.





To determine the level of Your intelligence, the aliens take You for a test. You build in a line by height, by a person to the lowest person. That is, each of You can see only those people who are ahead.





You can neither turn around nor to deviate in any direction.

Each person in random order put on his head white or black hat, and You don't know how many white caps, and how many black.





Then begins the self test. Each person, in turn, have to say, hat what colour to put on him – from the highest to lowest.





You can't say any other words except "white" and "black" or to signal some other way (volume, intonation, gestures, etc.). And at least nine out of ten responses must be correct – otherwise You will be deemed insufficiently organized beings and eat. Prior to the test, You have five minutes to discuss the solution with your team.
