Opel showed the Ampera the first electric car-e for Europe market Bashny.Net

The new model, which will take the form of five-door hatchback, destined to become a competitor for such electric cars like the Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, Volkswagen e-Golf and the second generation of the Ford Focus electric, and it is designed primarily for the European market.

According to representatives of Opel, the release of the new five-seat electric car called the Ampera-e is part of the program to launch 29 new models before the end of the decade. The novelty will be fully electrical modification of its original predecessor Amiga, which debuted in 2011.





The news about the upcoming release of the first Opel electric vehicle was announced at the car Symposium in Germany, traditionally held in Bochum. The Chairman of the Board of Directors GV Mary Barra (Mary Barra) said:

"GM and Opel have never doubted that electric cars will occupy an important place in the transport system of the future. Innovative technologies that have found application in Ampera-e are a major step towards the realization of our aspirations. Unique compact proportions of the Opel electric car, according to the manufacturer, achieved by flat lithium-ion batteries mounted under the vehicle floor. This provides a roomy interior that offers enough room for five people and the trunk, with impressive volume for the compact car class.

E-filling Ampera-e will take all that is best today, Opel is a plug-in technology and the OnStar assistants, advanced multimedia systems, as well as the system for integration with mobile devices.
