Last year in Germany, a new office center Festo's Automation was built, featuring its unique facade, which was designed specifically to protect the offices from overheating in the warm season. For this purpose, special protective screens that can change its shape depending on the sun's activity were installed inside the building. Also, the screens and facade designed ventilation duct functioning as a layer of insulation and absorbs heat from the sun. The thickness of the front module of the system is 3 inches (7, 62 centimeters).




For the year of the innovative facade system has proven its effectiveness: even at temperatures above 37 degrees Celsius outside, in offices it remained unchanged and comfortable to operate, which has helped significantly to save on the forced air cooling using air conditioners
