Portraits of women on the first day of their maternity

Photographer Jenny Lewis shows how beautiful can be just a portrait of the mother and child. Her series called "The First Day of Life" includes pictures taken within 24 hours of the birth of the baby.

"Very often the birth of a child is surrounded by fear, ignorance, and stories about the pain. I am a mother of two children myself and think it is important to show the charming side of motherhood and beauty of these women. I like to capture the transformation of a woman into a mother ».
