Tea bags were invented by a trader who has decided to send samples of tea in silk bags to customers

The case when consumers have created a demand for goods and nego

Nowadays, most people prefer to brew tea bags. All that is needed - is to take the tea bag and place it in a cup of hot water, and five minutes later the drink is ready. But if it were not for Thomas Sullivan, it would be impossible.

Sullivan invented the tea bag by mistake. In 1908 he worked as a trader tea in New York and was looking for an easy way to send samples of tea to your customers. Sullivan found that it is much easier to send samples in small silk bags instead of in boxes.

Some of his clients have decided that these bags can be used for brewing tea, and put them directly into the cup. These customers told Sullivan that silk is not very suitable for this purpose, and advised him to make the bags of gauze.

In 1920 it was established the commercial production of tea bags. Bags are available in two sizes: large and small kettle for the cup. At the same time it began to fasten a thread to the bag can be easily removed from the cup when the tea is brewed.
