Underwater researchers went on a treasure hunt. As a result of the lost city discovered!

What a interesting profession underwater archaeologist! You spend so much time searching for the remains of old ships deep into the seabed. You can find the lost treasures and other valuables that are left after massive wreck. And maybe one day you might even be able to discover the lost city of Atlantis (or a pack of sharks, as an alternative to)!

Though Frank Goddio, underwater archeology, and is unable to find Atlantis, he came across something similar. It turned out that in Abu Qir Bay (Mediterranean Sea) near the Egyptian coast lies the sunken city Tonis-Herakleyon.

We seriously. Sunken City, lost thousands of years ago, was found in the Mediterranean Sea. B>

The port city of Tonis-Herakleyon was founded in the 8th century BC.

City went to the bottom due to a series of water hazards.

Frank Goddio and his team found a city with tons of artifacts and treasures of the ancient world.

Here divers visiting the huge statue of the pharaoh.

Divers had to be extremely careful, pulling ancient statues of the water.

The remains provide us with the opportunity to learn more about the city and its culture.

It's amazing how much time these relics held on the sea floor.

This finding became a monumental discovery and a real dream for any underwater archaeologist.

Just imagine how many interesting things hiding under the water! I wonder what other secrets conceals from us the sea? Perhaps one day someone still manage to find Atlantis and other lost city.
