78-year-old Alec Garrard, a former farmer, has spent 30 years to build a scale model of the Temple of Jerusalem.
And it is not over yet!
He dedicated the construction of the ancient temple of 33,000 hours, the size of the model 6 meters by 3.5 meters.
He made and painted each brick, each of the 4,000 figures that have been installed in the indoor courtyards and buildings.
Over three years, he has researched the history of the temple, which was destroyed by the Romans 2000 years ago and was considered one of the most remarkable buildings of ancient times. My wife considers him crazy!
"Everything is done by hand," he says. "I also performed and painted figures of 4000, the size of one centimeter, all the clothes and costumes belong to that era.
Making each takes about three hours, I have done 32 version of Jesus, but no one can ever find it, how religious they may be. "
He began this epic project in 40 years, and says that he did not have enough time to complete his masterpiece.
