Superyachts from Rolls-Royce



American Shipbuilding Company Atlantic Yachts signed a contract with Rolls-Royce to design and build a series of superyachts, called NVC 85 Y. The figure indicates the length in meters of future vessels. Yacht building will be engaged in the German shipyard Nobiskrug GmbH, and keep an eye on the process will be the founder of Atlantic Yachts Paul Madden, who previously worked at the Blohm + Voss, the founders of the yacht Roman Abramovich's Eclipse. Designers put one of the main goals of reduced fuel consumption and reducing emissions. To a large extent this will contribute to efficient hydrodynamic hull, designed by Rolls-Royce. Propulsion systems on the ship will be of British origin. Maximum speed will be 19, 5 knots (36 km / h) cruising - 17 knots (31 km / h). The yacht is designed for reception of 12 guests, and the need for its tinning 22 crew members. About the price of the vessel has not reported: sales will begin in 2012, when the first building will be completed.
