Mary Katrantzou Collection 2014

Greek designer Mary Katrantzou has introduced a new show in which, instead of overall landscape prints cunningly devised patterns consisted of road signs and emblems. Meet the new collection of Mary Katrantzou 2014.

A new collection of Mary Katrantzou 2014 was another surprise after the black-and-white display. Designer so accustomed to associate with naturalistic images on fabric, that as soon as Mary departs from the subject, many have a misunderstanding. On the podium was a lot of long-necked dress, reminiscent of what makes Valentino in the past few seasons. It is also feminine and sensual as somewhat simplified styles, not deliberately lush skirts, but the idea is still one. Katranzu chose popular burgundy, navy blue and emerald green, dominant on the catwalks of steel added lavender hue and shiny inserts used for evening dresses and pantsuits. Cloth decorated with small printed pattern, or sewn appliqué details with a clear geometry. The leitmotif of steel signs, knight helmets with visors lowered, the arms with fancy heraldic symbols, branches of ash and silver grape leaves. The designer did a great job with the volume, but not in the conventional sense of the huge sleeves svitshotov. For example, in evening dress with sparkling inset mimicking chain mail, you can see the metal triangles and hearts, which are mounted on top of the fabric. Sometimes the patterns looked ponderous, the collection was dominated by dark colors, which reinforces the impression it balances pleating.
