Hedi Slimane's vision

More recently, a month ago, the new creative director of the house Yves Saint Laurent was a famous French designer Hedi Slimane.

Slimane was lucky to be born in Paris, and as a teenager he began to sew clothes. Although professional education, he did not get, but simply studied art history at the Ecole du Louvre. Since 1992, Hedi worked in various companies as an assistant. So far in 1997, largely an unknown Slimane suddenly was appointed artistic director of the brand Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Homme. During the 3 years Hedi revived finished menswear line, trying to keep the traditional Yves Saint Laurent stylistic features, but with a touch of contemporary erotic and glamor. But Slimane left in 2000, after the company came under the control of Gucci Group.

After two lost seasons Slimane was appointed creative director of the male line of the house Christian Dior. His first collection for the company was greeted with enthusiasm. In early 2002, in Milan, opened the first boutique Dior Homme, and in April the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Hedi Slimane named designer of the year. Sleeman was also the director of the perfume lines of Dior. But this fashion house, he suddenly leaves in 2007, moved to America and began to study conducting exhibitions around the world and photography. That is his photographic work, and we turn our attention today, because they are worth.

Hedi Slimane works in black and white, because it is very expressive value, simplicity and contrast in photos.
