"Lilikopter"

The Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos and designer (Joana Vasconcelos) believes that if she was alive Queen of France Marie Antoinette, her means of transportation would have looked that way. Glamorous helicopter called "Lilikopter» (Lilicoptère) - a work of art, worthy of kings.





In his installation Joana decorated frame helicopter Bell 47 ostrich feathers, Swarovski crystals, gold leaf. Leather upholstery inside the car is painted in pink with gold lettering. Made with walnut tree, lace and intricate gold braiding.





According to the artist herself, she drew attention to the rich, glamorous and daring royals of the time, thus realizing the dream of human flight. Although any person, being a passenger in the pink fantasy, no doubt, would have received a lot of positive impressions.



Installing "Lilikopter" is presented at an exhibition in Paris, Versailles, in the room dedicated to the ascension to the throne of King Louis-Philippe. By the way, 41-year-old Joana Vasconcelos is the first woman honored to present their works in the halls of the Palace Museum. All the works she devotes famous inhabitants of Versailles.
