Driverless bus



Singapore are planning to test the buses without drivers. Unusual vehicles will operate between NTU and University Business Park CleanTech Park. Autonomous power "shuttle" called Navia were created by the French company Induct Technology. New vehicles will go on a 2-kilometer route in a pilot project on the use of operating without a driver public transporta.



Machinery Navia accommodate 8 passengers. To get to your destination, you must select a target destination via the touch screen. The vehicle moves along a road with a maximum speed of 20 km / h. Navia using LIDAR and a stereo. At the end of the path the car is sent to a station for wireless charging. If the experiment proves successful, these vehicles will be used in other parts of Singapore to carry passengers over short distances.
