American band Vampire Weekend has once again proved to everyone that the leaders of the charts can be and musicians working with independent record labels. They released just a week ago his second album entitled «Contra». And now, they are on top of the Billboard 200!
During the first week of sales, the album «Contra» has sold about 125,000 copies. Earlier the same indie label «XL» collaborated many famous musicians, among which there are The White Stripes, The Prodigy, Radiohead, and many others. It is noteworthy that the shift from the top guys had the singer Kesha, the owner of a long-term contract with one of the largest Major - Sony Music Entertainment.
On the occasion of this extraordinary event, the band Vampire Weekend performed at New York's Bowery Ballroom. The concert was held under the standing ovation of old and new arrivals fans of their work.
