Olympics photos, the ninth day

Fewer days remain until the end of the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, and sets of medals, which can expect our athletes - less.





The ninth day presented several Olympic records. Thus, in the short track at the distance of 1000 m top two lines at once took two athletes from South Korea: Lee Jeong-soo (Lee Jung-Su) and Ho-seok Lee (Lee Ho-Sok). And the first to set a new Olympic record at this distance.



Bronze went to American athletes - Apolo Anton Ohno, (Apolo Anton Ohno). That is, it turns out that the US team - the only Olympic squad, in the treasury which daily added medals.
Another Olympic record surrendered there on the short track, only at a distance of 1500 meters, the Chinese woman Yang Zhou (Zhou Yang).



A new silver and bronze were won by South Korean athletes Eun-Byul Lee (Lee Eun-Byul) and Son Hai Park (Park Seung-Hi).
In the women's super-G medal was won by another freshly baked Olympic champion in downhill - Lindsey Vonn (Lindsey Vonn). However, this time, an American settled for a bronze.



A gold went to Andrea Fischbacher (Andrea Fischbacher) from Austria.



Men-skiers in the pursuit race at 30 km, the palm (read - gold medal) went to the Swede Marcus Hellner (Marcus Hellner). He won the bronze medal and his compatriot Johan Olsson (Johan Ollson).



The large trampoline was not equal to the Swiss Simon Ammann (Simon Ammann).



Swiss confidently beat his pursuers, looking for more than ten points. But for the silver and bronze waged a serious struggle. As a result, second place went to Adam Kid (Adam Malysz).



Bronze went to the Austrian Olympic team that won Gregor Schlierenzauer (Gregor Schlierenzauer).









In hockey tournament for men, finally I won the first Belarusian squad. Slavs team beat Germany 6-4 in a very hard struggle.







Team Slovakia "dry" beat the Latvians 6-0. And in each subsequent period, it was abandoned at least one goal (3-0; 2-0; 1-0).
