Tuesday lovers of Irish culture celebrated St. Patrick's Day. However, in Ulster, Northern Ireland, where St. Patrick's honor is particularly strong, the city authorities have canceled the traditional parade in honor of the holiday. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17 in Ireland, Northern Ireland and in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador as a public holiday. Patrick is also considered the patron saint of Nigeria, which operated mostly Irish missionaries. Also processions are held in different parts of the world, such as America, where even black president wore a green tie and tint the water in the fountain in front of the White House.
