Kola Peninsula. Dead Cities (50 photos)
Kola Peninsula - Cape in the North-West of Russia. Washed by the Barents and White Seas. Because of this, dominated by its strategic position, which was appreciated by the Russian army, and hundreds of military bases were placed on the peninsula. But because of the severe budget cuts in the Russian army in the 1990s, many of the bases were left. And along with them, and small towns, which were built around military installations. Now dozens of cities on the Kola Peninsula were not viewed, not populated.
