Wedding 88-year-old war veteran

Former Marine 88-year-old Jack Wright (Jack Wright) has finally married his sweetheart, whom he met for 30 years. His love Shirlene King (Shirlene King), which is only 57 years old, responded to the invitation of Jack consent.








The wedding ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 7, at the Health Center West Los Angeles (West Los Angeles Healthcare Center), where Jack is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer of the head and neck.







Despite the fact that the corridor of Radiation Oncology, is not very suitable for celebrations, a ceremony was held in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Jack and Shirlene were surrounded by numerous friends and family.



Jack Wright - one of the 11 survivors of the Battle of Guadalcanal in 1942. After the war, Jack settled in the town of Marina del Rey, California, where he lived on his boat and entertained the locals playing the accordion. In 1983, Wright met with Shirlene.



Instead of having to answer "Yes", during the marriage ceremony, Jack Wright said: "You'll have to endure a lot» («You bet your sweet life»).
