When I get the crisis situation in 1998,

From the future to the past, or what? economic crisis? Not so long ago, after the events known to all, many citizens are asking this difficult, but pragmatic and interesting question. The fact is that the very concept of the crisis is quite extensive and it is not possible to immediately clarify the situation.

But if you ask friends and family who had the opportunity to live in the 1990s as an adult, they may remember some long-forgotten and dusty details. So what was life like in the 90s?

Mass culture today can amuse the bored layman with vivid memories from that period. Even young people today have something to say about this topic. Everything was fast, strange, unlike the past. It's pure innovation!

Bright, colorful tracksuits, rejection of old rules, discos, new entertainment channels on TV, music, sunglasses and youth! Some people remember this period so much. The periphery began to slowly develop and move away from the usual dogmas. People lived not very rich, but friendly and interesting.

The children were still collecting scrap metal and waste paper. But not for a common cause, but for the sake of being able to buy something interesting, important, according to children’s estimates. Basically it was some gum, wrappers or soda. In the summer, you could go to summer camp and have a great time with new friends.

Those who are older, appreciatively looked at the opened prospects and made this new-fangled word, just burst into local use. Business. In fact, a huge number of modern millionaires came to us from that time. In the evening, I would like to watch “Field of Miracles” and “Guess the Melody”. Everything new, funny and so exciting as the permanent hit “Clouds” from the ageless group “Ivanushki International”.

Perhaps we need to start with a rapid decline in domestic production. There was simply no export, as a result of which factories produced poor-quality goods for domestic consumers. It is no wonder that over time, they have been closing more and more. This led to the loss of jobs and a decrease in the purchasing power of citizens. Quality things from abroad cost crazy money, and it was very difficult to get them.

Then, of course, this case was reviewed, and import shops began to appear in the CIS, offering quite high-quality goods for adequate money. Logistics issues were resolved and mutually beneficial contracts were concluded. And slowly things went up.

Exactly the same story happened with supermarket chains, cafes, cinemas and industrial enterprises. A person with an audio player and in good sports shoes, driving a used foreign car, ceased to be a millionaire in the eyes of the average person. After a while, he became a member of the ordinary middle class.

Then it came to technology. Not immediately, but computers, TVs with remote control, radio equipment also came to our homes. The strange device "dishwasher" now no one questions. But before, there was nowhere to put it. Well, the former Soviet man's housing isn't meant for another big buzzing box. And now young people do not bother with dishes at all: automatic washing saves a lot of time and nerves that can be spent on something more interesting. And all thanks to the exit from the crisis and the actions that led to this exit.

One cannot but mention the industry as a whole. In the post-Soviet countries began to receive new machines, units and parts necessary for work. It is not marked “Made in China” and with a reliable guarantee. This breathed life into local industries so that some industries that were already doing well were finally able to develop normally.

So what is this crisis? In short, it is a waste of time for the normal existence of future generations. Some people are happy to go back to the past. Brew a tea bag several times, make jam for the whole family and neighbors. Collect the same scrap metal and glass containers, calling it "return to the origins" and "maintaining cleanliness on the planet." But that's not the case at all.

The crisis will not allow a huge number of people to get normal living conditions. Again, foreign medicines have a domestic alternative. But only qualitatively, this alternative is much worse. Light industry in comparison with the developed world is, as they say, at the handicraft level: the same things are much more expensive to produce, you just have to look at the nearest store and compare prices.

Cars, airplanes, home appliances, repair materials, even advertising (which is known to be the engine of progress) – all these and more are of great importance in 2022. And turning a blind eye to that is simply turning away from your normal future. Why go far if you can just remember the most expensive brands in the world? Apple, Amazon, Microsoft. Without all this, modern man will be very difficult. It’s like a remote tribe suddenly stranded on the streets of Manhattan.

Finally, the issue of national currency. She's definitely not gonna grow. Prices naturally go up. Salaries do not agree with them. What is supposed to be done then? Go to the banks. This is where a vicious circle begins: banks will not help those who cannot stop domestic stagnation. Because money likes silence.

Therefore, the crisis is terrible because it does not come suddenly, while there is still something in the bins. He's getting closer. In one area, then in another. You never know in advance what will go wrong tomorrow. Where a new weakness will emerge. Therefore, nothing can be prepared for. And if earlier a tea mushroom and half a black bread for three people did not cause any questions, now, in our amazing time, to return to this. Is it worth it?
