Why rub a candle with soap, store it in the freezer and how to make it burn 100 times longer

People caught up in a disaster or war are often advised to stock up on candles. But ordinary candles, unfortunately, do not burn for long. Therefore, it is vital to know how to make a candle, which instead of 20 minutes will burn for a day or even longer. And as a bonus, we will show a few tricks that prolong the burning time even more.

So, we have a short and thin candle that burns in about 20 minutes. Let’s try to extend your life by 100 (!) times. You say it's impossible? No, actually, it's pretty simple! Many people probably know this way. But maybe it will be useful to someone.

You will need a glass glass just above the candle. The most difficult thing in this method is to glue a candle inside a glass. To do this, you need to dig into the bottom with molten wax and, without losing time, press the base of the candle to it.

Then take any vegetable oil: sunflower, olive, corn. Carefully pour the oil into the glass so that it is just above the shoulders of the candle. It remains to light the wick and make sure that the candle can now burn for long hours. Or rather, until all the candle and all the oil is burned.

Tricks that prolong candle burning time
  1. Trick #1
People have noticed that a candle with a long wick burns faster. Remember the golden rule: the wick should not be longer than one centimeter. You'll have to cut everything.

  2. Trick #2
Before lighting a candle, keep it in the freezer. Cold wax will thicken and burn almost twice as long. Simple, but very effective!

  3. Trick #3
Put soap on the candle. At first glance, it seems like nonsense. But it makes sense. Soap forms a thin film on the surface of the candle, which does not allow paraffin to drain. As a result, not a drop of paraffin is lost. Which means the candle burns longer.

To make candles with your own hands at home, you do not need much money. Therefore, in addition to the pleasure that you will get from the manufacturing process itself, you can still save a lot. And if you correctly approach the manufacturing process, you will understand that in fact everything is quite simple.
