Master class on creating slippers with their own hands

Sometimes we find things in the farthest corners of the closet that have been of no use for years. However, for some reason we do not dare to get rid of them. In such situations, it is important to know how to transform an unnecessary object into something that can still be useful. That's why the editorial board "Site" He'll tell you how to do it. slippers from an old blanket.

Instead of sending an old blanket to the garbage can, you can easily and simply make cute, warm slippers out of it. Olga Pappueva will help us in this, who kindly shares the secrets of creating a simple pattern and the skill of sewing such a product.

  1. To make a pattern of the bottom of the slipper, just take a sheet of dense paper and circle the foot on it. In our case, the length will be 24 cm. In addition, we make indentations for seams of 0.5 cm throughout the diameter of the drawing. So we get a pattern of 25 cm long.

  2. To pattern the upper part of the slipper, draw a rectangle on paper, the length of which is equal to the length of the foot (25 cm). The width of the rectangle is equal to the widest part of the foot, in our case it is 10 cm. At one end, we also lay 10 cm down and get a square. Then we draw an arc that will cover the sock. Heel height is 8 cm. We measure it and draw a parallel line, rounding it near the square.

  3. After finishing with the pattern, carefully cut it.

  4. We fold the fabric in half, apply a pattern to it and cut out the blanks.

  5. Then start sewing the top of the slippers with the usual overlay seam.

  6. Now we can sweep the upper and lower parts of the product. Then we reconnect the parts around the perimeter with the same seam.

  7. When all parts are sewn together, it remains only to pull the sump seam. Cozy slippers ready!
