Why Cuba has windows without glass and walls without wallpaper

All covered with greenery, absolutely all, the island of Cuba is somewhere in the ocean. Even savages live happily there, beautiful and kind inside! That's what the song says, but we've done it a little bit. People are fine! On the other hand, of course, you are amazed. At least take it. Cuban homes and what they look like.

Editorial "Site" I was surprised to learn that in Cuba there are rarely glass or wallpaper on the walls. This is especially true of the coast. No, there are places where everything is civil, but that's not what we're talking about. Let me tell you a little bit about why this happened.

Let’s first try to understand why Cubans, with their very low standard of living, are so sincerely happy. True, among them are full of smiling and happy people. Cubans are just happy by default: the sun shines, a nice light breeze blows and music plays. The heart is happy, the rest does not matter!

When you first get to the capital of Havana, the feeling of admiration literally overwhelms, however, suddenly you realize that some houses require major repairs right now. Just so you understand, we are talking about colonial architecture, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. It's really discouraging.

And then comes another realization – in the windows of beautiful houses, imbued with the spirit of freedom, romance and history, there are absolutely no glass. The most that you can find are wooden blinds. The windows are not glazed even in houses across from the Capitol.

Walking down the street, you can suddenly look at a museum, a bank or get to a math class. There's no glass in all these buildings either. An interesting approach to security and personal space, isn’t it? What strange habits? Nevertheless, there are reasons.

Why Cuban houses without glass and wallpaper Glass in Cuba is expensive, not everyone can afford such luxury. Ordinary people on the island are saved by those very wooden (or more modern) blinds. Another reason is even more trivial - it's hot! The island has a humid and hot climate, in the coldest months the air temperature rarely drops below plus fifteen.

But in the afternoon, please - 36 degrees Celsius normal temperature. As you know, air conditioners can not afford either. That's how the puzzle works! A light breeze that blows through rooms without glass, and blinds that shelter the dwelling from the scorching sun. And thank God there's a life-saving fan on the ceiling!

The same humid climate excludes from use and habitual wallpaper. In a Cuban apartment there are conditions that can be compared to a bath. Wallpaper in this case, except nails to the wall. Metal is also affected by this climate. Cubans have to paint their walls.

They talk about Cuba and Cubans. They don’t want to work, so this is a poor country. And could provide other fruits and seafood. There's only cigars in honor. Food is cooked on fires because there is no gas. Maybe it’s because hurricanes often happen. Insert after each glass, especially when there are none. I wonder where this happiness comes from.

We don't have any windows. You can freeze. And all your air conditioners will go to waste when there are no windows. Check if there is gas in the house, you can't make a fire in the apartment! Of course it's a joke. Just when it gets sad, think of Cuba. Here is another link to how different ideas about happiness differ in different countries. We wish you a good mood!
