What's wrong with washing clothes at forty degrees and above

Washing will always be a stumbling block, because each hostess has its own set of rules for cleaning various things. Washing in the washing machine has long been familiar to everyone, but do we know everything about them? Today we understand the temperature regimes and their impact on the quality of washing.

There is an opinion that only at high temperatures it is possible to wash yellowness, grayness and complex spots. However, such washing has a number of serious drawbacks, which we will discuss below. It is worth remembering that in many ways the purity of things also depends on the means that you use. A good stain remover will also have an effect in cold water.

Why not wash things at 40 degrees or higher if you care greennessThe temperature should be significantly reduced. The amount of electricity used for washing in hot water is many times higher, and therefore utility bills can sometimes amaze us. Washing at a temperature of 40 degrees and above is expensive, and reducing the temperature by even 10% can save more than 30% of electricity.

Most things do not recommend washing in high temperature water. The exception is bed linen and towels. Everything else can be safely sent to half-hour. Believe me, what didn't wash off at 30 doesn't wash off at 40. We have enough things not to wear them to the point where we have to turn on the highest temperature for washing.

Many fabrics wear out precisely because of long regimes at high temperature. There is an assumption that microplastics can be separated from synthetic materials, which then enters water, including drinking water. Other tissues simply deform, lose their colour, quality and elasticity. Do not get carried away with high temperatures of washing, unless you are cleaning baby things. In this case, an increase in temperature is even necessary.

Many are terribly afraid of bacteria and therefore wash at 40 degrees and above. However, bacteria disappear only after boiling, and therefore changing the temperature regime of the machine does not make much sense.

To make your life more environmentally friendly, and at the same time protect the family budget from unnecessary expenses, try to choose a machine that uses less water. Pay attention to the class of energy consumption. Perhaps this machine will cost a little more, but in fact you will save huge amounts on utility bills.

Editorial board: Always fill the tank full. Do not run a washing machine with one or two things.
