Problems that come up with answers if your head is well cooked

Mathematics to many students seems a difficult and boring science. Who likes to memorize endless formulas and remember how to prove another theorem? In modern school textbooks fascinating maths They don't get caught that often. There is nothing strange about children not liking this subject.

We're in the newsroom. "Site" We are sure that mathematics, which is definitely useful in the life of every person (even the notorious humanities), can be fascinating. Therefore, today we offer interesting tasks that will appeal to both an adult and a child.

The main reason for dislike of mathematics is called a boring manner of teaching. Here are the examples, here are the formulas, sit and decide. Teachers and teachers did not explain the essence of mathematical phenomena, and therefore the educational process was limited to memorizing ready-made formulas and approaches.

To the student, such a science simply seems a waste of time, because where is there any connection with reality? And the presence of any tasks becomes a real salvation. Let's look at a couple. There is only one condition: everything must be solved honestly, without the help of a calculator.

Challenge conditions
  1. 50 + 50 - 25 * 0 + 2 + 2 =? Let’s start with this simple example with a trick. You have to solve it in your mind. To do this, it is enough to mentally transfer to school years and recall the basic rules for solving such examples.

  2. Let us assume that there is the following regularity: 7 + 3 = 10421.

    5 + 4 = 9120

    9 + 6 = 15354

    How much is 11+5 then?

  3. Nicholas met in a cafe with 9 classmates. Everyone greeted them with a handshake. How many handshakes were done?
  4. The football team for the season in the league held 34 fights. She scored 61 goals and conceded only 39. How many players in this team have bred the ball from the center of the field all season?
  5. In the barn, 143 mice managed to eat 33 heads of cheese. They ate evenly. However, some of them suffered from gluttony. As a result, the next day only 13 mice entered the barn. They ate evenly again, but 3 times less than the day before. How many cheeses does a farmer not have?

Answers to challenges
  1. It should be 104. Why is that? First we multiply 25 * 0 = 0. And then we find the sum of the remaining numbers.
  2. Why are there so many numbers after the equal sign? Because here you have the sum, the difference and the product of the numbers on the left side of the equation. So 11 + 5 = 16655, where 16 is sum, 6 is difference, and 55 is product.
  3. There will be 45 handshakes. 10 *9/2 = 45. Why divide by 2? A handshake between two people will count as one.

  4. To find the answer, you need to add to 34 (the number of fights, since in each match the team is guaranteed to spread the ball from the center of the field) 39 (every time the team missed the ball). Scored goals do not need to add, because in the case of a scored goal, the ball goes to the opponent. And already the opponent spreads the ball from the center of the field. Total: 34 + 39 = 73.
  5. On the second night, only 13 mice returned to the barn, 11 times less than on the first night. If they ate with the same appetite, they would eat 3 heads of cheese instead of 33. But because they ate three times less, only one head of cheese was eaten the second night. Total: 33 + 1 = 34. That's how many heads of cheese a poor farmer can't count.

Did you solve all the math problems without using a calculator? Congratulations. Any other solutions? Also interesting, so be sure to write your own version. Maybe we got it wrong somewhere...
