My first marriage lasted 11 years, most of which I tried to get pregnant. When my husband and I realized that our strength was not enough, we turned to specialists. But they couldn't help us, despite the incalculable amount of money spent.
My husband was so desperate that he blamed me for everything. Soon he filed for divorce and disappeared. At the age of 40, I was completely alone. I never thought I would get married again. But fate gave me a beautiful man, and after 2 years a real miracle happened. Those are the two stripes I've been dreaming about for so many years.
© Freepik I was 43 when I gave birth to my daughter. It was scary because I knew what it would be like to raise a child at that age. My husband encouraged me and told me everything would be fine. But he didn't know what was waiting for us.
It all started in hospitals where I felt like a black crow. In the queues, I almost didn't get a finger pointed at because of my age. I am not talking about doctors and nurses! “43 is a serious age for pregnancy. Where have you been before? is a classic question I heard. No one knew what medical ethics was.
© Freepik I was hurt to tears. And every time I tried to explain that was the case. But who cares about a woman who has been trying to have a baby for more than 10 years? Everyone wanted to hurt me, as if there was something wrong with me.
The problems didn't end there. Caring for a small child was very exhausting, because my husband and I were no longer young. And our parents are far too old, so we shouldn’t expect help from them. All on your own. Constant lack of sleep and stress hit health. But I didn’t despair because I had waited so long.
When I went out with the baby, everyone around me thought I was her grandmother. To be honest, at some point I just got used to it. In kindergarten and school, it was not easy. My parents didn’t miss an opportunity to make fun of me. But I didn't give up.
When my daughter went to university, everything finally settled down. And our relationship with her was surprisingly strong. It was as if she understood what I was like and tried to support me.
My daughter is now 25 years old, but she is in no hurry to get married. He doesn't even think about kids. I don't want her to repeat my mistakes! After all, late pregnancy does not always end in a happy ending. But my daughter doesn't listen to me. He says he'll have a career up to 30. How do I convince her?
