Fancy scooter with a ball instead of wheels
Initially, the two-wheeled Segway was, then, a model with one wheel, and now presents a model of the Segway with a ball instead of wheels. Designed by German electrical engineer Olaf Winkler Segway Üo moves thanks to being in a ball "wheels", which set the direction and speed of the ball, and ensure high manoeuvrability of the Segway.
The stability of the driver is provided by on-Board accelerometers and gyroscopes. Thanks to them, the ball is always under the center of gravity of the pilot, keeping him from falling. As usual Segway, Üo controlled by simply tilting the body to accelerate and brake. A small joystick in the upper part of the telescopic steering stick is used to make turns.
In the description no mention of battery life, though maximum speed is a claimed 12 miles per hour.
Olaf Winkler not long ago started a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to Finance serial production of an unusual Segway. On pre-order Üo can be purchased for 899 euros. If the campaign ends successfully and will start producing the Segway, its retail price of $ 1,399 euros.published
P. S. And remember, only by changing their consumption — together we change the world! ©
