Roads out of solar panels can test in Russia
Russia may test the road surface of solar panels, which allows you to collect energy. This was told in the press service of the Federal road Agency (Rosavtodor). The Agency will consider the experience of European countries on this issue.
"Currently, by the order of Federal road Agency performed research and development work "Development of methodological recommendations on provision of roads alternative sources of electricity and heat", in which we consider the experience of building roads from solar panels," – said the press service.
This coating will be especially useful in areas with the highest number of Sunny days per year, added the Agency. "However, the European experience shows that the construction of such roads, a number of technical and technological difficulties, therefore, this issue requires deep study," – said the press service.
The first road of solar already appeared in Europe. In particular, the area of such highway opened in France. In the coming years it is planned to create about one thousand kilometers of roads of solar panels. The design of this roadway allows to convert solar energy into electricity. Administered by the Federal highway Agency is 49 thousand kilometers of Federal highways. They account for over 40 percent of the total volume of road transport in the country. Over the last two years the accident rate on subordinated to Federal road Agency roads decreased by almost 30 percent, and the number of accidents decreased by 2.7 thousand cases. "The road because it is dark, always well heated and reasonably use it to produce electricity. The electricity we have is never enough, so it is logical to find new ways of its receipt. But the efficiency of roads of solar panels is still unclear, this is a question that requires serious research," said Nicholas.
