Floating gym-the generator will start in Paris Bashny.Net

The Italian company, Carlo Ratti Associati, in collaboration with Technogym, and an architectural non-profit group Terreform ONE has developed the project of floating gym, which will carry out cruises on the Seine and on the way to produce energy at the expense of training people in it.





The boat is a gym called Paris Navigating the Gym. It will have a length of about 20 meters and accommodate up to 45 passengers. In addition to the muscular strength of man and equipment, a floating sports complex will receive energy from renewable sources like solar panels on the roof.





Mobile fitness center will include exercise bikes, Artis – special sports equipment, which is able to convert the energy of human movement into electricity and use it later for various needs.





The aim of the project is studying the potential use of human energy, as well as exploring new opportunities to integrate waterways and rivers in infrastructure to improve urban mobility.

At the moment the project is at the concept stage, however, in case of approval, the developers plan to implement it within 18 months.
