Crossover Kia Niro has set a Guinness world record, becoming the most economical in the world a hybrid car traveling through all the States — from new York to Los Angeles.

The SUV drove almost six thousand kilometers from East to West coast of the US, spending only 48.5 gallon of gasoline (183,6 liters). Thus, the average fuel consumption of Kia Niro on this trip made up 3.07 liters per hundred kilometers.



The Kia noted that the trip involved standard factory crossover is not subjected to any upgrades.

The first production Kia SUV with a hybrid power plant made its debut in February 2016 at the Chicago auto show. All-wheel drive crossover, the drag coefficient of 0.29 which is built on a perfect new chassis.
