In Amsterdam will be built an eco-building with zero energy consumption

Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has collaborated with Barcode Architects to create a multifunctional building project on a lake in Amsterdam.





The design of the building resembles a nesting river birds, so the house is Grand and has lots of Windows and balconies. The composition of this impressive building will include environmentally friendly apartments with zero energy consumption, and access to the building will be open for river transport, cars and pedestrians.





The project was named the Sluishuis, the house will have a total area of 4000 square meters and accommodate a shopping area, caterers, offices, also it will be equipped with underground Parking and the question of the sale of the residential premises of the Sluishuis, the roof will be an observation deck.


Under the house there will be a pier and a small Park area.At the moment architects believe that Sluishuis is the first step to the artificial archipelago, where there will be schools, kindergartens, floating home.


Also like most modern buildings, huge Sluishuis will be powered only by renewable energy sources, and already through them to work heating, air filtration, water and ventilation. But, unfortunately, not yet known the date of completion of the construction of this eco-friendly property.
