This is the error that almost all iPhone owners make.
Most people are attached to their phones. This is the first thing you take when you wake up and the last thing you use before going to bed. Some even hold the phone that arm’s length while sleeping. But that's not a good idea.
A family in Wales knows firsthand the dangers of a mobile phone.
The Durant family faced it in November when Caitlin, 15, went to bed, putting her phone on charge all night and put it on top of a blanket. She had no idea it would lead to a fire that would engulf the entire house.
The Welsh Fire Department posted several photos taken by Caitlin's mother to raise awareness that even an innocent act can be tragic.

A second photo after firefighters put out the fire:
Because Caitlin left the phone on the blanket while charging, the soft material blocked the vents on the phone, which help the device not to overheat. This caused a spark that later turned into a flame. The fire spread throughout the room.
Caitlin managed to escape the room in time. But her bedroom was completely destroyed. The house also suffered moderate damage. Fortunately, the Duran family is fine. But the house will be uninhabitable for at least another 6 months until repairs are completed, and the family lost a lot of things in the fire.

The iPhone’s user manual has a warning about the importance of ventilating your phone: it must be open. Do not place the device under a blanket, pillow or body when it is charged. Keep your phone in a place where ventilation is good.
The fire department says the same and advises turning off your phone from charging before bedtime. And also warns not to leave any devices on charging without attention for a long time.
This is not the first time a phone has caused a fire.Situations like this are happening all over the world and let us know that you need to take precautions when it comes to your safety. published
