The concept truck Iveco Z Concept Truck: the new type of eco-friendly transport

Italian truck manufacturer Iveco has decided to side with the environmental performance of vehicles. To this end, the company has demonstrated the concept of their "green" truck Z heavy Truck Concept at the meeting in Hannover (Germany) fair for commercial vehicles IAA.
Futuristic concept car designed for the transportation of goods over long distances, no batteries or hydrogen fuel cells. Instead, the Iveco truck was equipped with a Z engine that runs on traditional liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the form of biomethane, derived from biogas, ocosingo. Iveco believes that such transmission is the most simple and affordable and also very effective in reducing harmful CO2 emissions and particulate matter in the near future.
Drive LNG has a power output of 460 HP and a maximum torque of 2000 Nm.
High aerodynamic performance, engine oil with low viscosity, the heat recovery system exhaust gas, and tires with low rolling resistance allow Z Truck Concept to use 33% less fuel compared to other trucks with internal combustion engines.
Fuel truck Z is contained in aluminum tanks with a new system MLI multi-layer insulation that protects against radiant heat with a reflective layer of foil. As can be seen, the concept has a rectangular shape for optimized use of space, as well as equipping the vehicle with two fuel tanks with a total filling. The car's range on a single tank fuel capacity 3.8 l (317 Gal) 2 is 221 km.
President of Iveco, Pierre LAUTH announced that the company will equip their trucks with a function of Autonomous driving and the latest security system, integrated in their new concept Z.
As for the interior of Z, it should be noted the Central location of the driver's seat. This was conceived so that the driver can feel comfortable during the long hours of riding, resting from time to time or to pursue their own foreign Affairs, while the vehicle will operate in unmanned mode.
Multi-chamber system displays all images on a wide screen installed in the upper part of the windshield. Thus, the driver of the car will be able to monitor the entire environment at each moment of time. In the driver's cabin has a folding bed, a shower, a refrigerator, a sink and even an interactive wall. Moreover, there is a mobile wall, providing an additional 50 cm into the workspace.
