Created microturbines, increasing the mileage of electric cars
The British company Delta Motorsport has developed a new microturbulence, which can act as a "ultra-low-cost" magnifier power reserve of electric vehicles (used only to recharge the batteries while driving).
The system, called the MiTRE (micro turbine range extender) available in two capacity variants — 23 and 47 horsepower. The developers noted that the microturbine is approximately 40 percent smaller and 50 percent lighter than piston engines of comparable efficiency. In addition, the thermal efficiency of a more powerful unit is 30 percent, which "corresponds to that of the best piston engines in the world."
The first working prototype of a microturbine installed on an experimental electric car company Delta Motorsport E4 Coupe. The British noted that the continued application of the increased radiator will improve the thermal efficiency of up to 35 percent, which "will put the power plant on a par with hi-tech racing engines".
Delta E4 Sortinterface in technology have already expressed Morgan and Ariel. It is not excluded that Morgan is considering the use of slip reserve with a microturbine for electric EV3. The release of a pilot lot model must start before the end of 2016.

The Ariel company is also experimenting with electric technology. In mid-September, the British unveiled a prototype with two fans at the bottom, designed to create downforce. Fans are fed independently from a separate battery pack. Besides, earlier it was reported that the Ariel Atom sports car next-generation hybrid powertrain.
At this point in the project is MiTRE, which is partly funded by the British government, invested 3.1 million pounds (4.1 million dollars).published
