Edgar Street Towers skyscraper with integrated biofiltration
Edgar Street Towers project, developed by specialists of architectural Studio IwamotoScott. The building, which will be built in Lower Manhattan, is an example of the new hybrid architecture, which establishes the relationship of the historic city landscape with ultra-modern infrastructure and advanced innovative eco-systems.
The new skyscraper seeks to identity with the buildings in the neighbourhood, but makes its own unique contribution to the development of modern eco-architecture, using the latest technological developments and modern materials.
Multi-storey complex comprises office, public, retail and residential space, area public libraries and large atrium with a biofiltration system, the elements of which occupy the voids in the floor and act as the lungs of the building, providing clean air and a favorable microclimate.
At night volcanista-optical array is illuminated with power from the integrated to the building the day of a solar charged batteries. Harmoniously adapting to the characteristics of the existing urban landscape, the Edgar Street Towers is committed to become the new iconic landmark of the district.
