Exhibition of Sergio Pininfarina in the Ferrari Museum
The company provide Ferrari exhibition Le grandi Ferrari di Sergio Pininfarina ("the Great Ferrari of Sergio Pininfarina"), which is designed to commemorate the designer, who died in July.
In the course of the exhibition were shown models of Ferrari, created over 60 years of cooperation with body Studio Pininfarina. Machines were placed in three thematic halls dedicated to racing cars, concept cars and serial models, respectively.
Speaking about the exhibits of the first hall, the representatives of the Ferrari had a special focus on the car-the winner of the marathon "24 hours of Le Mans 250 LM and 250 SWB model, driven by British driver Stirling moss won the Touring Trophy race. Another interesting exhibit hall racing was the experimental car 1960's Formula 1 Sigma. It will be shown next to modern cars of Formula 1.
In the hall, where are exhibited the concept cars, you can see the patterns P6, Modulo, and Pinin, a unique four-door Ferrari. Hall production models were divided into several parts — there is exhibited a model Ferrari with a front - mid-engine layout.
Also the exhibition shows the wall composition, which captures all the "Ferrari" created in collaboration with Studio Pininfarina. This exhibit includes exclusive archival material, which was shown for the first time. At the opening ceremony was attended by family members of Sergio Pininfarina and President of Ferrari — Luca Di Montezemolo.
Head of Studio Pininfarina for 40 years Sergio Pininfarina died at the age of 85 at his home in Turin. At different times the company was a Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac, Jaguar, Volvo, Alfa Romeo and Lancia. In-house facilities the company manufactures cars like the convertible Ford Focus second generation, the Alfa Romeo Brera and Spider and a Volvo C70.
Exhibition at the Museum of the Italian brand in Maranello runs from 27 October to 7 January. The cost of the ticket is around 13 euros and can be ordered on the Museum's website.
