Caño Cristales (Caño Cristales – Crystal river) – something that goes beyond the usual concept of beautiful — ugly. A small river, which is lost amidst a jungle of the Colombian orinoquia, recognized by UNESCO Natural Heritage of Humanity.





Locals call this river the "River of five colors". In the box caño Cristales, you can see five colors: yellow, blue, green, black and red.





They are all waste products of the many, many algae and, depending on the time of year, color saturation, or weakened or increased.
